The SAS® Data Integration Studio Wait for Completion transformation generates an incorrectly formatted comment block that looks similar to the following:

This issue results in the subsequent line of code being incorrectly commented out and might result in one or more of the following errors and warnings:
ERROR: The %LOCAL statement is not valid in open code.
ERROR 180-322: Statement is not valid or it is used out of proper order.
ERROR: No matching %MACRO statement for this %MEND statement.
WARNING: Apparent invocation of macro ETLS_RECORDCHECK not resolved.
WARNING: Apparent symbolic reference ETLS_ROWS not resolved.
ERROR: The text expression &ETLS_ROWS contains a recursive reference to the macro variable ETLS_ROWS. The macro variable will be assigned the null value.
ERROR: %EVAL function has no expression to evaluate, or %IF statement has no condition.
ERROR: The %TO value of the %DO I loop is invalid.
ERROR: The macro ETLS_WAITFOR will stop executing.
You encounter the errors and warning only when using a job that contains other jobs.
To work around the problem, complete these steps:
- Open the properties of the Wait For Completion transformation.
- On the Notes tab, add the following to the Quick Note section:
